Shakespeare on the steps

On July 25-27, the People's Shakespeare Project (PSP) presented "Two Gentlemen of Verona" on the
front steps of Shadek-Fackenthal Library.
PSP director Laura Korach Howell believes that "Shakespeare was meant to be performed on a bare
stage", and loves to see "the actors making the most of the setting they are in." She noted that
the Library, in particular, "lends itself to Shakespearian theater with its grand columns and
multiple landings."
The three evening performances were free and open to the public.
